The walk starts at Cow Green car park and takes you over Widdybank Fell along the tarmac track to Cow Green dam and Cauldron Snout waterfall, returning the same way.

NY8128 : Cow Green Dam and River Tees The dam was completed in1970, and the first overflow from the reservoir took place in 1972. Since then the flow in the Tees has been largely controlled by the reservoir. The unique flora is in part a relict of the pine woods that once grew on the 'sugar limestone' here.
