SH6254 : Crushing Mill by the Miners' Track

taken 7 years ago, 4 km from Plas Gwynant, Gwynedd, Great Britain

Crushing Mill by the Miners' Track
Crushing Mill by the Miners' Track
By the side of the Miners'Track are the ruins of the old crushing mill. Copper ore was taken down to the crushing mill by an aerial ropeway over Llyn Glaslyn; this reduced the distance the copper had to be transported, and avoided the steep climb between the two lakes.
