This is a general scene of an area of sidings and Docks that has since been radically redeveloped. The train is heading southward towards Stonefield Junction and Roath Dock. The locomotive is ex-Rhymney Railway class S1 0-6-0T No. 90 (No. 604 until 1947), built 6/20 as Rhymney No. 32, withdrawn 6/54.
