TQ2782 : Railway bridge over the Regent's Canal

taken 7 years ago, near to Marylebone, Westminster, Great Britain

Railway bridge over the Regent's Canal
Railway bridge over the Regent's Canal
Carrying the Chiltern Railways line from Marylebone to the west and London Underground's Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Finchley Road stations. The Metropolitan line is only briefly overground at this point, emerging from tunnels either side of the bridge. Being London's fastest tube line (due to the long distance between Baker Street, Finchley Road and Wembley Park stations, the trains can reach an excess of 60mph) and the bridge being of an iron construction, the racket they create along this bridge is horrendous, spoiling the tranquillity of the canal. Looking south-southwest.
