Maida Tunnel
Maida Tunnel
The first tunnel west of Regent's Park which the public cannot walk under. It passes under Edgware Road and emerges by Blomfield Road and Maida Avenue into Little Venice. To continue along the canal, pedestrians have to climb the steps which can be seen just to the right of the blue gantry, walk along Aberdeen Place, cross Edgware Road at the traffic lights and then walk into Blomfield Road. However, you cannot actually walk on the towpath until after the Warwick Avenue bridge, as the towpath immediately after the tunnel on Blomfield Road is private land set aside for barge owners. Looking south-southwest.
