Cors Caron is a raised bog through which the Afon Teifi meanders. The bog covers an area of approximately 862 acres (349 ha). It is the most intact surviving example of a raised bog landscape in the United Kingdom. Cors Caron began to be formed 12,000 years ago, at the end of the last glaciation period.
