Ivatt 4MT 43106
These engines were delivered new to the M&GN system in the hope that they would revive passenger numbers. The window next to the tender caters for the need to run tender first on the mostly single line system. The class meant diesels were little used until mass closure in February 1959. The Cromer to Melton Constable line survived until 1964. Many of these engines were scrapped at Kings of Norwich. 43106 was at South Lynn (31D) for six years have been delivered in 1951. It was transferred away which meant survival.
