Heckington Windmill
Heckington Windmill
A five storey tower Mill of 1830 with 8 sails. Designed by Michael Ingledew and built by Michael Hare. The eight sails were bought in 1892 by a Mr Pocklington from a mill in Boston. The power of 8 sails could drive 5 pairs of stones as well as other machines. It ceased work in 1946, but has since been restored to working condition. This is the only eight sailed mill left in England.
