For years, the obvious routes up Ben Lawers from Lawers have been complicated by the lack of parking. The one layby has been commandeered by a craft shop, and as usual in Perthshire, parking has proved difficult.
This is the solution; the hotel allows parking in return for hill walkers' custom when they get down in the evening. A solution to a tricky logistical problem, a visit to the pub, and more custom to an isolated rural hostelry. A winner all round.
