The Church of St James, The Street, Cherhill, Wiltshire
Written by Brian Robert Marshall

The origins of the church are 12th or 13th century. However, as is invariably the case with churches of this age it has been altered, repaired and restored over the succeeding decades and centuries. The building as seen today is mostly 15th century. The tower and south porch date to that time. More recently the church was restored in 1853 by S.B. Gabriel of Bristol. The church has been listed Grade II* since 1960 LinkExternal link
