Level Crossing and Abbey Craig
Level Crossing and Abbey Craig
The crags of Abbey Craig (the hill with the Wallace Monument on it) overlook an optimistic scene. The railway is a building site with safety posters and that familiar safety fencing. It's being restored for passenger use between Stirling and Alloa. A small fightback against Dr Beeching.
-----
The reopening of the railway led to the closure of this crossing. Now a new road has been built from Ladysneuk Road, meaning that only one crossing is required for Cambuskenneth and Broom.
