Arched Bridge over West Water
Arched Bridge over West Water
This arched bridge between West Linton and South Slipperfield was erected in 1620 and became part of the turnpike which followed this route in the 18th century. Chiselled into a stone in the centre of the bridge records that it was erected in 1620 and restored in 1920.
