Nether Largie South Cairn
Nether Largie South Cairn
The original multi-chambered tomb probably dates back to over 5000 years ago, but was adapted and much enlarged a thousand years later when the other cairns in the valley were built.
It was excavated in 1864.
In addition to the chambered tomb two stone lined cist were found; one of which appears here.
