Stock Gaylard: parish church of St. Barnabas
The church may date from the C12 or C13, although the only evidence for this is the Crusader effigy set into the south wall of the nave. It is believed to be that of Sir Ingelramus de Waleys, whose dismembered body was assumed to have been brought back from the Holy Land for burial in his native place. Just off the consicrated land there is an additional graveyard for the family pets.
