The Newry bypass
The original single-carriageway Newry bypass opened in two stages in 1988 and 1995. The current version is a limited-access dual carriageway running from Beech Hill and the Sheep Bridge south to Cloghoge. The southern part is on the line of the first bypass. The northern part is completely new. It opened in July 2010.
