Railings and dyke, Old Knarr Fen Drove
South east of Thorney lies a vast area of agricultural land reclaimed from fenland several centuries ago. Much of it is just below sea level. The current version (2011) of Google Earth clearly shows the routes of numerous filled in and dried up creeks that were in this fenland area.
