Photo taken during the Congress of the British Society for the History of Medicine. The venue was very convenient in most ways. We used two lecture theatres, others are available. Coffee, buffet lunches, poster presentations, a bookshop and registration desk were all in the lobby. It is probably not an easy site for disabled people as the university is on a hillside and there are lots of steps. There are lifts and ramps to provide access.

University of Surrey, Guildford

The university is on Stag Hill next to the cathedral. It originated in 1891 as Battersea Polytechnic Institute, and moved to Guildford in 1966.
