Basalt columns characterise the southern end of Staffa which is seen beyond. The prominent cave on Staffa NM3235 is MacKinnons Cave. The world-famous Fingals Cave lies beneath the cliff at the extreme right hand end of the island. The Isle of Mull can be seen in the distance.
