West Haddlesey Flood Lock, Selby Canal
West Haddlesey Flood Lock, Selby Canal
In normal times, all the lock gates are kept open. In a flood boaters would have to lock down from the river into the canal. The higher gates at the river end act as a continuation of the flood bank.
