The track on the right is Mercote Hall Lane, a bridleway between Park Farm, near Cornets End, and the A452 at Marsh Lane. The track to the left, formerly a public footpath until it was diverted, leads to Mercote Mill Farm. The shadows are cast by the small parcel of woodland that was once the grounds of the Hall.
