The western end of Great Deep, seen from Wickor Point
Great Deep is the channel which separates Thorney Island from the mainland - once open to the tides, but now drained through a sluice at its eastern end. This is the view eastward from Wickor Point, a few paces north of the Ministry of Defence pedestrian checkpoint at the NW corner of Thorney Island.
