Old and new roads on east side of Mynydd Rhyd ddu
Wern-ddu Quarry occupies a stretch of the eastern slope of the low hill, Mynydd Rhyd ddu. The quarry has been disused for some time but remains are still visible; one remaining feature is the old quarry road which is seen below the camera position. A new, roughly bulldozed road from which the image was taken lies above the old one, its purpose is unknown.
