SU5878 : Power lines beside Bennet's Wood

Power lines beside Bennet's Wood
Bennet's Wood comprises mature, mixed oak, ash and conifer but the pylons dwarf it. See: SU5884 : Halfpenny Lane under the power lines. Strictly speaking these are lattice steel transmission towers, not pylons. They may be carrying power lines with 275,000 volts potential. They emanate from the power station at Didcot. Do they improve the visual amenity? Would it be wonderful if there were lots more due to an unnecessary proliferation of wind-farms? I can't answer either of those questions in the affirmative!
