A dirty tide on the Forth near Bo'ness
A dirty tide on the Forth near Bo'ness
These dirty waves are the driving force behind the shifting floor of the Forth. This part of the Forth has double the number of tides compared to other places and therefore more shifting and re-shifting of silt in suspension which accounts for the muddy-coloured waves.
