Trent and Mersey Canal.
Most of the locks descending from Kidsgrove to Middlewich are twinned, though not all are in use at present. The locks in this image are seen from the level of the Hall Green Branch Canal (linking to the Macclesfield Canal) which crosses on an aqueduct just below the locks.
