'Opened August 18th 1819 for the entry of His Royal Highness Prince Leopold of Saxe Coburg.'

Leopold was a Major-General of Cavalry in the service of Czar Alexander I during the Napoleonic Wars. He participated in the triumphal entry of the allies into Paris in 1813 and represented Saxe-Coburg at the 1815 Congress of Vienna. He married Princess Charlotte, only child of George, Prince of Wales (later Prince Regent and George IV) by his wife Caroline of Brunswick.
