The Cascade Gardens Bridge Restoration Project was a collaborative project undertaken for the Leeds Castle Foundation in the Autumn of 2010 by Gurkha Soldiers from the 70 Gurkha Field Support Squadron QGE, 36 Engineer RE, as part of their Military Aid to the Civil Community programme, using a design and materials supplied by Jackson's Fencing Ltd.

The restored bridge was opened by the Chief Executive of Leeds Castle, Mrs. Victoria Wallace, the Commanding Officer, 36 Engineer Regiment RE, Lieutenant Colonel S J Hulme MBE RE, and the Chairman of Jackson's, Mr Richard Jackson, on 8 November 2010.
