Loch Kinord Cross Slab - Front
A slab beautifully incised with a scrollwork Celtic cross, the intricacies of the design revealed by oblique afternoon sunshine. It probably dates from the 8th century and may mark the site of an ancient chapel, though there is some doubt about this. It was found here in the 1820s and removed to Aboyne Castle, but returned to close to its original position in 1959. See Link
