Narrowboat "Saros" has stopped for lunch!

This is part of the summit pound of the canal, an eleven mile cut between Gailey and Compton locks. The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal was opened in 1772, and engineered by James Brindley. It cost a little over 100,000 at the time for its 46 mile course from Stourport to Great Haywood.
