Hydes Barn, Fawley Lane
A derelict agricultural barn, most recently used in 2004 for pheasant rearing purposes. The main building is timber framed with an earthen floor and rusty corrugated iron roof. To its right is a brick and flint extension. To its left a yellow shipping container.
I have always thought this would be a good place for a house. In June 2010 a planning application to convert it into a dwelling was made on behalf of William Mountain Estates. It was refused and an appeal was lodged in June 2011 which, at time of photographing, had yet to conclude.
