Tyntesfield House
Tyntesfied House was built in 1865 in a Victorian Gothic style for William Gibbs, having made a fortune importing guano (solidified bird droppings) from Peru. It was used as fertiliser in farming. In 2002, the National Trust purchased it after raising the funds through an appeal, saving the house for the nation.
