This former gravel extraction site has been landfilled and landscaped. It forms the southern part of Hornchurch Country Park. Its main feature is the hill that gives it its name, from the top of which there are good views across London and the Thames to the South Downs and where a mountain bike course has been constructed. The site is 74ha in size.
