SN7019 : Old trackway
3 km from Capel Gwynfe, Carmarthenshire/Sir Gaerfyrddin, Great Britain

Old trackway
One of many tracks that run across the Black Mountain. Although this track has been used in more recent times to access nearby quarries, this actually forms a more ancient track that runs over the Black Mountain. This could so easily have become the main road over the Black Mountain - its entire route can be followed even on modern maps from this location to Brynamman.
This is actually marked as a viable highway, equal in status to the now main road over the Black Mountain on some early maps.
