Panel beneath Oriel Window at Gylen Castle
Beneath the oriel window over the main entrance is a panel with a now worn inscription. It is thought to have read, "Trust in they God, and not in man,my son do well and let them say." Below this is a female head and beneath this the garderobe also used for defensive purposes dropping oil or stones on anyone assaulting the main entrance.
