The station was restored to its 1937 condition with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Original features and fittings have been installed in the Booking and Parcels (Customer Services) Offices,Tea Room, and the shop. (Info from the NYMR website). The train at the platform was pulled by steam locomotive Eric Treacy.
