Castle Stalker
Its correct name is Castle Stalcair, Castle of the Hunter. Built in the 13th century by the MacDougalls after Bannockburn it came into the possession of Sir John Stewart. The Stewarts briefly lost the castle in 1689 following a drunken spree with Campbell of Airds but regained it after the battle of Killiecrankie. However, shortly afterwards Campbell of Argyll retook it after a siege and it remained a Campbell stronghold until 1908 when it was sold to the Stewarts. A chequered history indeed!
