Wall monument to Elizabeth Knight - St Nicholas' church, Chawton

Elizabeth Knight, widow, who died in 1737 aged 64 and is commemorated on this wall tablet in the church, adopted the name Knight after becoming the heiress of Sir Richard Knight of Chawton House. Her two husbands William Woodward, and Bulstrode Peachey (who both subsequently predeceased her) also adopted the name.
