This little postbox is a straggler of the KW15 (Kirkwall town) postcode area - indeed, the only one in that area to be outside what would be recognised as the town, apart from the box at the airport. It is given on the Royal Mail's list as "Scapa School" although there is no obvious trace of a school here to the casual passer-by such as me.

The box is on the southern side of the A964 and is emptied at noon on weekdays and Saturdays.
