Parish Hall, Front Street, Sedgefield
The Parish Hall was founded in 1849 but rebuilt in 1895. The distinctive front was a reflection of its important status in the community LinkExternal link
Proposed closure by the Town Council in 2006 was overturned by overwhelming public objection and the hall is regularly used for meetings by local groups and for dramatic and music presentations.
Sedgefield Heritage Trail

On a good day, the town looks very pretty and has much of interest. A good place to start is the Heritage Trail which is available on the web LinkExternal link and as a leaflet available locally (try the Council Offices off the High Street near Hope Inn).
