A close up of a wall
A close up of a wall
This close up shows the flag-like nature of the stones in this area. The rocks are cleaved in such away that they yield flattish stones of no great thickness. These are the type of stones defined by the Welsh word "llech". It is easier to build a dry stone wall with this material than with rounded stones and the result is more pleasing to the eye.
