Millendreath
Possibly the most depressing place on the Cornish coast; see SX2654 : Beach Facilities Closed and SX2654 : Derelict beach facilities. According to the owner, "Millendreath could become a gem in the Cornish tourism offering and be of a very high quality" Link
. That was in August 2009. In March 2011, after Cornwall Council approved the plans for 50 new holiday homes, the owner is quoted as saying "before the end of the summer 2011, we plan to demolish the existing unsightly and redundant leisure buildings, landscape the valley floor and introduce a known and locally established water sports operator". At least someone seems to be enjoying a barbecue on the beach. The closed building on the right is mapped as a club.
