the disused public house picture is the bridgewater in stoney lane first run by ralph argyle in 1964 the white building on the right was little bloxwich post office run by the morgan family the canal tavern was to the right of the post office but had been demolished in the 80's it was run by mrs edith smith my nan i was born in the canal tavern over the bar at 3am on the 14th feb 1954 hope this info is of interest to any locals looking into the area my momstill lives in mackay road by the bridge in lichfield road mavis griffiths
