A gravestone at Stenton churchyard
This old symbolic stone is against the northwest boundary wall of the old churchyard. The usual mortality symbols are present in the form of the deathís head skull, hourglass, the sextonís tools of crossed spade and turf-cutter, and the crossed femur bones. The tree indicates that this is the grave of a gardener or a forester.
