Bridge 14, Ashby de la Zouch Canal
Bridge 14, Ashby de la Zouch Canal
Bridge 14 carries a footpath over the canal which meanders through fields south of Hinckley, towards Marston Junction where it joins the Coventry Canal. The canal was originally built to carry coal traffic from the north-west Leicestershire coalfield but is now exclusively used for pleasure craft. It is unusual in having no locks along its entire length.
