A tablet unveiled at the completion of the dam in 1960. It lists the chairmen and a vice-chairman of the Lleyn Rural District Council for the years 1955-60, the council engineers, the consultant engineers, a Welsh owned Westminster SW1 firm, and the contractors. The only easily identifiable firm is that of Cementation Ltd of Doncaster, (now known as Cementation Foundations Skanska of Doncaster), which was involved in most dam construction schemes in Wales during the second half of the twentieth century and which had a labour force drawn mainly from the western seaboard counties of Ireland.
