Institute of Education, Bedford Way
A gargantuan building, but originally intended to be even bigger. The facade of tinted windows and bronzed aluminium spandrels is sandwiched between concrete lower sections and five monumental concrete staircase projections. It was built in 1965-76 to the designs of Denys Lasdun.
