Gyllyngdune Gardens and the Princess Pavilion
The photo shows the Edwardian Bandstand and part of the Veranda in the upper gardens. Behind is Princess Pavilion, a dance hall and a venue for concerts and other events. The Gardens were opened in 1907 with the opening ceremony being conducted from the bandstand. The Pavilion was built in 1910. The marquee is part of the accommodation for the 2006 Falmouth Beer Festival which was taking place in the Pavilion at the time this photo was taken.
