Open air brick museum at Corris
A retired architect who practised in Machynlleth used to live in the adjoining house. His former work colleagues and professional contacts would, from time to time, give him old bricks from long forgotten brick works. The result was he incorporated them into the embankment of the lane below his garden at Carreg Llwyd, thus creating an open air, free, brick museum. The photo shows just one small section of the embankment on the North side of the lane. The exhibits are mainly from brickworks in Shropshire and NE Wales.
