Land quality contrasts on Braich y Cornel
While the valley floor tends to be waterlogged the valley slopes are drier. At one time all the valley slopes were bracken infested. In recent years, however, the farmer has invested in improving the quality of the pasturage by planting grasses. Tussocky grasses and sedges predominate on the valley floor.
