NS6786 : Endrick Water, dam [2]

taken 7 years ago, 5 km from Craigton, Stirling, Great Britain

Endrick Water, dam [2]
Endrick Water, dam [2]
The shallow pool below the dam is a result of rain water and a little leakage from a sluice, not overflow. Despite a high volume of flow coming down the Endrick we can see there is no flow over the dam at all. The river effectively stops here and is subject to total abstraction by the Carron system through a sluice on the far side of the dam.
